Simple and Thrifty Upcycle
You see these old octagon end tables all the time in consignment shops and Goodwill. I have always passed them up, until I noticed that they have a lot of storage space! So, I thought I would give it a facelift with a little paint and new hardware.
I will let you in on a little secret...for small furniture with a veneer finish, just use a spray paint with a primer! There is no need to sand these pieces down, or waste time with primer.
I use Valspar Satin White spray paint with primer. Next, I used sand paper to distress, and replaced the hardware. Very simple upcyle, and a great table with plenty of storage!
